Connected Books Demonstration Workshop

The workshop provides participants with a detailed understanding of what Connected Books does and how to use it through a series of hands on activities.  You will use Connected Books to track a month's worth of financial activity in a sample account created solely for the purpose of the workshop.  After verifying this data against a sample bank statement, you will be able view the reports that the program generates to see first hand how it can help you stay organized and informed about your buildings finances.

Some advantages of Connected Books:

  • Specifically designed for HDFCs taking into account their expense and sources of income
  • Online access—no software installation required
  • All data and program features accessible by authorized users from any computer with internet access
  • Easy to use: track the building’s rent roll and financial activity by entering information as it appears on check stubs carbon copies or deposit slips
  • Automatically generates reports including rent roll, individual payment histories and income and expense analysis
  • Live technical assistance at no additional cost

Connected Books is appropriate if you have a shareholder willing to work on bookkeeping who:

  • Understands the basics of what bookkeeping involves
  • Knows computer basics, including how to view web pages
  • Has access to a computer with an internet connection

Basic knowledge of how to use a computer and web browser is REQUIRED for participation in the workshop.
