NYC Building Operator Training

 

NYC Building Operator Training: No-Cost Energy Efficiency Training for Multifamily Operations & Maintenance

  • 30-hour training program designed by building operations & maintenance training experts
  • Covers building systems (heating, electrical, water) with emphasis on preventative maintenance & energy efficiency
  • Classes will take place at locations throughout the city
  • Course materials available in Spanish and English

For each staff member who completes training, employers can receive up to $700 reimbursement for implementing select energy efficiency project(s)
 


Eligibility

All individuals that manage, operate, and have hands-on access to building equipment & systems of small to mid-sized multi-family buildings (with 5-50 apartment units or between 5,000 to 50,000 gross square feet), including:
  • Maintenance staff
  • Property managers
  • Handymen/women
  • Superintendents
  • Operators
  • Owners
All applications will be considered; employers that agree to provide a wage gain in recognition of the newly acquired skills for their staff members that complete the program will be prioritized.
