It is with immense grief and sadness that we share that Cheryl Tidwell, a UHAB employee for almost 30 years, passed away this August. She was a beacon of love and support at UHAB who we relied on throughout the years.
Cheryl spent three decades dedicated to over 200 co-ops who looked to her for guidance and support. She spent countless hours out in the field going from one building to another bringing her experience and advice to each co-op. They would call her at all hours of the day and she would always respond. There are not many people who are so loved by the co-op leaders that we serve year in and year out as was Cheryl.
Outside of work, Cheryl was a dedicated caregiver to both her husband and son who both suffer(ed) from insulin dependent diabetes, a friend, a mentor and a passionate advocate for affordable housing in NYC.. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her son Reginald who has lost both of his parents within a four year span. Reginald is accepting contributions to help cover emergent costs. Please donate here and share with anyone who knew and loved Cheryl as we did.
