513-15 West 157 St HDFC
Units: 20

Flora moved into her HDFC in 2010 as a single mom. She has served on the board and is a staunch advocate for affordability. She gives an account of some of the changes and challenges that have emerged as the neighborhood gentrifies. She speaks about the importance of remembering the origins of HDFCs as self-help housing for tenants in majority non-white, red-lined neighborhoods.
