In this 3-part workshop series, we will explore possible connections and collaborations across the solidarity economy as we begin to rebuild a community controlled economy after this year of crisis and protest. In this first workshop we will identify opportunities and challenges and follow up with two more workshops. We will dig deeper into how we can engage in this moment as a solidarity economy in NYC. All workshops will be virtual and English/Spanish bilingual.
First workshop: Wednesday, May 26 from 6 to 8 pm
We’ll kick off with an introduction from keynote speaker Dr. Jessica Gordon Nembhard, author of Collective Courage: A History of African American Cooperative Economic Thought and Practice. These workshops are made possible through funding from the Cooperative Development Foundation.
