UHAB Hosts Walkthrough of an Affordable Housing Development Site

UHAB was pleased to welcome members of the Community Preservation Corporation’s (CPC) Credit & Risk team for a walkthrough of 640 Riverside Drive, a 13-story building with 133 residential units located in Hamilton Heights.

The visit provided an opportunity to highlight the significant progress of the construction work and the future amenities that we hope will enhance residents’ quality of life.  We also discussed the long-term vision for 640 Riverside, such as, preserving affordability, empowering the existing community, and creating pathways to cooperative homeownership that can last for generations.

In partnership with NYC Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and CPC,  UHAB is proud to be advancing the rehabilitation of this historic building—paving the way for existing tenants to become first-time homeowners through an affordable cooperative model.

The scope of work includes structural upgrades to modernized interiors, all centered on supporting long-term sustainability for current and future residents. This collaborative effort reflects the shared commitment of UHAB, HPD, and CPC to preserve affordable housing and strengthen communities.
