You may also opt-in to receive these messages by providing a verbal agreement over the phone or by paper form. When you register to receive such messages for the first time, you will be asked to provide your phone number, and will be informed that “Message and data rates may apply,” “Message frequency may vary,” and that you can “text HELP for support or more information and STOP to unsubscribe at any time.” Our staff is additionally trained to ask if you as the customer would like to opt-in to SMS-based notifications, and when applicable, will verbally inform you of the above, as well as that your phone number will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. If you or your organization opts-in to receive such messages from us, we reserve the right to collect and store your phone number and communication preferences about how you would like to be contacted and choices you have made to send you communications.
3. How We Use Your Information:
UHAB and its service providers use your collected information to provide updates, send alerts and promotional messages via SMS (only after you have consented to receiving such communications), and oversee the management and maintenance of your or your organization’s account. Additionally, as necessary, your information may be disclosed to comply with applicable laws or regulations, to enforce our agreements and policies, and to improve our website and services.

We do not sell or rent your personal information or data. However, we may share your information with third party vendors and service providers, such as Twilio and Go2 to best facilitate our communications, government authorities or legal entities if we reasonably believe or know that such disclosure is compelled by applicable law or legal processes, and trusted affiliate organizations and partners of ours that work to support UHAB’s mission, with your consent.
