We are thrilled to introduce Guillermo Lara and Estelle Bajou as the newest members of UHAB’s Board of Directors.
Guillermo Lara has an extensive background in financial administration and education. He has served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of his HDFC cooperative in Harlem for over nine years and is an active member of AHIFA (Affordable Housing Is For All).
Estelle Bajou is a French-American actor, composer, writer, and psychotherapist. They hold degrees in Theater, Creative Writing, Acting, and Social Work. Estelle also serves on her HDFC Co-op Board of Directors, currently as Board President and previously as Board Secretary. They bring a unique blend of artistic and therapeutic expertise to our board.
This addition reflects our Board’s commitment to including HDFC member representation in our leadership and centering the voices of those most impacted by our mission to create and preserve affordable homeownership.
